Things You Need To Do
We hope you’ve had time to do your happy dance, because Day 1 will be packed with information and activities to help you hit the ground running.
First thing’s first—meet us in the GOLF’s World HQ lobby at 9:00 am on Day 1, and check in with one of the friendly faces at the front desk. If you ask nicely and you’re a few minutes early, they might even join you for a last bit of happy dancing. Maybe even hit a few putts on the practice green.
You’re officially a nUbie! (That’s our unique spelling of “newbie”) Trust us, a nUbie is a great thing to be. As such you’ll receive a gift bag, lanyard with name tag and a nUbie flag to fly high from your desk…just so everyone knows to welcome you aboard. So, yes, you’re pretty special, and all of this is just our way of extending a warm welcome.
Don’t forget to bring two forms of ID (detailed below) and any specific items your supervisor might have mentioned.
We recommend all nUbies change their LinkedIn profiles in advance of their first day and associate their job title with GOLF. While you’re at it, “follow” GOLF and GolfNow too! Another best practice is, of course, to feature a professional-looking snapshot of yourself. If you don’t have a professional photo, don’t fret, we will take one for you on Day 1.

Remember! Bring two forms of ID!
Bring two forms of ID to complete the I-9 employment verification form and/or copy each form of ID, scan the copies and email them to Amy May in Human Resources.
- Qualifying ID types include your Driver’s License, Social Security Card or Passport. A passport counts for both forms of ID. If you have any questions about what ID is acceptable, call or email Amy May.
What to expect on Day 1
- Meet in the main GOLF lobby
- Stop by HR and IT (This is where you will need two forms of ID to complete the I-9 employment verification form)
- Studio & Campus Tour (Wear comfortable shoes! It’s a big campus!)
- Social Hour
- Team lunch at Arnie’s, where the cool kids eat
- Fun golf competitions
- Leadership presentations to connect each nUbie to the world of Golf
- Manager welcome
